ADC announces Akwa Ibom Senate, Reps, Assembly primary elections winners

The Akwa Ibom State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the names of candidates who emerged victorious in the party’s Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Titus Ejoh, the chairman of the ADC primary election committee in Akwa Ibom State, announced the winners during the party’s meeting in Uyo on Sunday evening
According to Ejoh, three candidates secured the party’s tickets for the Senate, 10 candidates won the tickets for the House of Representatives, and 26 candidates emerged for the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
In the Senate, Patience Ibanga Akpabio emerged as the winner of the Akwa Ibom North-West (Ikot Ekpene) senatorial district, Sunday Umoren won for Akwa Ibom North-East (Uyo) senatorial district, and Louis Paul Udoh secured the ticket for Akwa Ibom South (Eket) senatorial district.
Among those who secured tickets for the House of Representatives are Jackson Emem Daniel for Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency, Hanson Paul for Ikot Abasi/Mkpat Enin/Eastern Obolo Federal Constituency, and John Gabriel for Oron/Mbo/Udung Uko/Okobo/Urue-Offong Oruko Federal Constituency.






Others are Akaninyene Udofa for Oruk Anam/Ukanafun, Chris Sunday George for Eket/Onna/Esit Eket/Ibeno, Alfred Umoh for Ikono/Ini, Nnamonso David for Uyo/Uruan/Nsit Atai/Ibesikpo, Nsikak Umoeka for Itu/Ibiono-Ibom, Ofonime Johnson Inyang for Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika, and Isaac Asuquo for Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara.
The list also showed that Lucky Sunday Enang emerged as the candidate for Ukanafun, while Etimbuk Ime Akpan won for Abak. Inemesit Mitchell Nkereuwem secured the ticket for Essien Udim. Other candidates include Isaac Udoidiong Ibanga (Ikot Ekpene), Patrick Sambo William (Uyo), Akaninyene Boniface Etim (Ibiono-Ibom), Inem Kufre (Etinan), Idongesit Amos (Mkpat Enin), and Jude Linus (Ika).
Other successful candidates are Innocent Okoro (Oruk Anam), Emmanuel Isine (Eket), Saviour Monday (Nsit Ubium), Daniel Michael (Nsit Ibom), Archibong Duke (Esit Eket), Otu Monday (Ibeno), Enwono Etim John (Etim Ekpo), Valentine Okon (Okobo), Victor Frank (Orueffong Oruko), Mercy Edeke (Oron/Udung Uko), Joseph Okon Etim (Mbo) and Archibong Bassey (Itu).
Earlier, a former Minister for State FCT, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, was announced as the winner of the ADC governorship primary in the state after he scored 66,099 votes to defeat his challenger, Mfon Peters, who scored 103 votes.
Ejoh said the election of Mr Akpanudoedehe as the ADC governorship candidate was conducted through a direct primary on 22 May across the state’s 31 local government areas.
