
The Management of Ritman University, alongside the Committee of Deans, has paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the family of the Late Dr. Mrs. Grace Emmanuel Essien, in honour of her life and legacy.
The visit, which forms part of activities lined up for her obsequies, reflects the University’s deep sense of loss and solidarity with the bereaved family during this difficult time. Dr. Mrs. Grace Essien, who passed on at the age of 68, is being remembered for her contributions, values, and the positive impact she had on those around her.
During the visit, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Akan B. Williams and the Chairman, Committee of Deans, Prof. Godwin J. Esenowo conveyed their sympathies to the family, describing her passing as a profound loss not only to her immediate family but also to the wider community. Prayers were offered for strength and comfort for all who mourn her.
As a demonstration of compassion and institutional support, the Management and the Committee of Deans presented donations to the family to assist with the ongoing funeral arrangements.
The gesture was warmly received and appreciated by the Chief Mourner, Distinguished Senator Emmanuel Ibok Essien, the Founder/Visitor, Ritman University. He expressed gratitude for the University’s show of love and solidarity.
The condolence visit aligns with the series of burial activities scheduled in her honour, including the valedictory ceremony which will take place at the University campus, tribute services, funeral service, and thanksgiving service at the New Apostolic Church, Ikot Abia Idem, Ikot Ekpene.
Ritman University continues to stand with the Essien’s family in this moment of grief, while celebrating a life well spent.
