Ikot Ekpene will on Tuesday, March 10, play host to members of the International Executive Committee of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative as the group intensifies efforts to mobilize grassroots support ahead of future political engagements.
The event is scheduled to take place at the prestigious Ati Annang Hall, Library Avenue, Ikot Ekpene.
Speaking to journalists on the eve of the visit, the Coordinator of the Initiative in Ikot Ekpene, Honourable Umo Asiak, said the chapter has concluded arrangements to give the visiting executives a warm reception befitting the significance of their mission.
He explained that the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative in Ikot Ekpene remains committed to mobilizing massive support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Senator Godswill Akpabio , and Pastor Umo Eno as Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
According to Asiak, the vision and programmes of the Initiative have continued to resonate strongly with the people of Ikot Ekpene, many of whom, he noted, have already keyed into the movement.
He expressed optimism that the people of Ikot Ekpene would deliver overwhelming votes for the trio, citing what he described as their impressive performances and commitment to development.
The coordinator also used the opportunity to welcome the visiting International Executive Committee members to what he described as the Rafia City, while calling on sons, daughters, friends and supporters of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative to attend the event.
He said the gathering promises to be historic and will further strengthen the resolve of members to advance the ideals of the Initiative.
