Yinka Babalola selected to become next Rotary Int’l President

A Nigerian, Yinka Babalola, has been selected to become the Rotary International President for the 2026/27 Rotary Year.
By this selection, Babalola becomes the second Nigerian and third African ever nominated for that position in Rotary’s over 120 years of existence.
Yinka had earlier served as a Director of Rotary International Board of Directors in 2018/2019 and in 2019/2020 he served as the Rotary International Vice President.
Yinka, a Safety Engineer by profession, worked with Shell before retiring to his private business and he is a member of the Rotary Club of TransAmadi in Port Harcourt – Rotary District 9141.
Rotarian Akan Emah, a Past District Governor of Rotary International District 9142, in a post on his verified Facebook handle, yesterday, wrote:
