Two influential socio-cultural and political groups in Akwa Ibom State, Afe Mkparawa Annang and Isong Annang, on Thursday, endorsed Senator Godswill Akpabio’s reelection bid for 2027.

Ambassador Uduak Akpan and Prince Mmendie Archibong, the National Presidents of Afe Mkparawa Annang and Isong Annang, respectively, led the endorsement meeting, which took place at the Ikot Ekpene Local Government Council hall.

In a joint press conference before a rally, the two groups issued a warning to any aspiring politicians in the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, urging them to abandon their ambitions for the Senate seat due to their support for Chief Akpabio.

While emphasising their role in bridging the gap between the people and their representatives, Ambassador Akpan and Prince Medie highlighted Akpabio’s unparalleled achievements and leadership qualities, leading to their support for his bid for a third term.
