Pan African Comprehensive School celebrates sportsmanship at 2nd Biennial Inter-House sports competition

Uyo–Pan African Comprehensive Secondary School, on Saturday, March 14, 2026, hosted its 2nd Biennial Inter-House Sports Competition, which was marked by vibrant colors and enthusiastic participation, showcasing the athletic prowess and sportsmanship of the students.
The colorful ceremony, held at the school’s sports ground, was attended by a number of distinguished guests, including Comrade Joseph Effiong, who served as the Chairman on the occasion. Bishop and Pastor Mrs. Kufre Nwaowo were present as Special Guests of Honor, while Mrs. Idorenyin Ukpah, the PTA Chairman, was also in attendance. Dr. and Dr. Mrs. A. B. Ekere, the proprietors of the school, were represented by Mr. Ime Umontuen.
Speaking at the occasion, the school’s Principal, Mr. Aniebiet Udo, who led the school’s management, emphasised the importance of sportsmanship, fair play, and teamwork while urging the competitors to adhere to the rules.
The competition featured various track and field events where students competed fiercely in a spirit of healthy rivalry and sportsmanship.
After a day of exciting competitions, Blue House emerged as the overall best house, demonstrating exceptional performance across various categories and winning the coveted trophy. Miss Favour Benedict Akwa was also named the best athlete in the competition.
Guests delivered goodwill messages during the competition commended the school for its commitment to holistic education and the development of young talent through sports.
They encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities.
Highpoints of the competition were the presentation of gifts, prizes, awards, and trophies to the deserving winners.
