Uyo Chairman lauds Mark Esset’s training on Small-scale Kaoline mining

Chairman of the Transition Committee of Uyo local government, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo , has applauded Rt. Hon. Mark Esset, the representative of Uyo/Ibesikpo Asutan/Nsit Atai/Uruan federal constituency in the National Assembly, for his dedication to fostering youth empowerment in Akwa Ibom State.
Dr. Udo gave the commendation on Saturday during a three-day training session on Artisanal and Small Scale Kaoline Mining, sponsored by Rt. Hon. Esset at the Uyo Local Government Council hall to equip 100 constituents from Uyo, Ibesikpo Asutan, Nsit Atai and Uruan local government areas with the skills necessary to contribute to the socio-economic development of the state.
Dr. Udo praised Rt. Hon. Esset as an assertive and forward-thinking representative, whose efforts have elevated Uyo federal constituency’s stature among its peers across Nigeria.
He also urged the trainees to fully leverage the opportunities offered by the program to improve living standards and pass on knowledge to empower others.
Rt. Hon. Esset, in his earlier remarks, explained that the training aimed to raise awareness about the vast potential wealth that can be unlocked through the exploitation, exploration, and mining of solid minerals, as well as to enlighten his constituents about the job opportunities in the kaolin industry, and to spark their interest in artisanal mining.
