The Chairman of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Council, Mr Asuakak Umoh, has officially launched the 2025 Ibiono Ibom LGA Students’ Bursary Scheme, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to promoting educational development and supporting students across all levels.
During the launch ceremony, the council boss inaugurated a seven-member Bursary Implementation Committee to oversee the registration process, ensure transparency, and guarantee equal access for all eligible students.
Speaking at the event, Rt. Hon. Umoh noted that the initiative aligns with his administration’s vision to enhance students’ welfare and educational structure from primary to tertiary levels.
“When I came into the office, I made a promise to improve the educational welfare of our students, and one of the ways to achieve that is through the timely payment of bursaries,” he said.
He announced that the bursary registration will be conducted online via https://forms.gle/cCtRu5BjQ9bjPWMa7, allowing all qualified Ibiono Ibom students to participate conveniently and embrace digital literacy.
The online application commenced on October 29, 2025, while payments will be made upon the completion of the committee’s verification exercise.
In his remarks, the Committee Chairman, Comrade Nathaniel Ukpoho, who also serves as the Special Assistant to the Chairman on Student Matters, assured that the process will be transparent, fair, and free of bias, adding that the committee is expected to conclude its assignment within three weeks to pave the way for payment.
