Lady Otong congratulates Tinubu, Gov Eno on their victories at APC primaries

The Head of the Catholic BLOC of WOWICAN (Women Wing of CAN), in Akwa Ibom State, Lady Iniobong Bassey Otong, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu for his decisive victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held nationwide on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
In her message, Lady Otong, who also serves as the Secretary of the Projects Committee of the National Catholic Women Organisation Nigeria, congratulated Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, for his election as the sole governorship candidate of the APC in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.




In her congratulatory statement released on Saturday, Lady Otong emphasised that President Tinubu’s election by party members across the country reflects the confidence and trust the Nigerian people have in his visionary leadership.
“I, Lady Iniobong Bassey Otong, Head of the Catholic BLOC of WOWICAN in Akwa Ibom State and Secretary of the Projects Committee of the National Catholic Women Organisation Nigeria, wholeheartedly congratulate our party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR on his remarkable victory in the just concluded presidential primary election,” she stated.
She further noted that Pastor Eno’s success in the governorship primary was well-deserved and indicative of the trust and confidence placed in him by the people of Akwa Ibom State, owing to his leadership qualities, inclusive governance approach, and steadfast commitment to the development of the state under the ARISE Agenda.
Lady Otong assured both the President and Governor Eno of her unwavering support for their administration and all other APC candidates as they embark on a successful campaign for the 2026 general elections in Akwa Ibom State.
